My 08 focus with 246k currently does this but may have been doing it since I bought it at 204k but I can’t remember when I first noticed. It does it once it’s warmed up and the sound goes away if I push the shifter lightly in any direction while parked (no clutch). Other than that it shifts and drives just fine.

2012 only had a recall from a certain number of vins. Mine didnt come back as a recall. Rack still went.

Ha mines bent outward

Mine made it to 215000 miles before the rack seized up. The rockers are all rotted out so the car is going to the junkyard. Can’t complain about the car at all, it was great for 12 years without major problems.

Thank you! I am removing the driver's seat from a 2009 volvo s40 and couldn't figure out how to detach the seat belt from the seat.

When you rent the ball joint press kit you will also need the Taurus adapter accessory kit OTC 27163 at Auto Zone. For the strut rod bushings get the two piece bushings unless you have access to the press needed for the one piece bushings. There is also an inner tie rod tool that you can rent - if you are replacing the outer tie rods you should also be replacing the inner tie rods. Easy job with the right tools. With the exception of the specific to Continental struts, all the parts for a total suspension refresh are available as long as you don’t mind Chinese parts.

Sadly soon all gas cars will be banned in EU and USA! In France they have a new banning law for ICE cars called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland the HESCHLAVVO law! In Scandinavian countries soon there will be a so called SMORVERBIDEN law. In Germany from 2027 the new BABVVO and TEBBVO laws by the green peoples party will bann all gas cars from public streets only exception will be professional commuter trips and state-certified transports)!!!
